A rare, one bedroom “tuck-away” townhouse with a great location but tiny in scale without the ability to increase its footprint was in need of a gut remodel. The directive was to add two levels without losing the charm of the original Victorian facade. This was accomplished by grading below ground to accommodate two large bedrooms on the lower level and adding a large master suite on the top floor, set back from the front façade.
